Condensation a Health Issue

We have had a couple of Cool weather and look what is happening, wait till it gets very cold in Winter.

This is a huge issue that does not seem to get much attention, lots and lots of apartments have been and are being built like this, These apartments are only 5 years old.

At a minimum, the condensation should be captured within the window system and dealt with.

Millions of lives are being put at risk long term.

Cost of materials and lack of understanding by the Estimators and Project managers to fill a hole, quite simple.

If you are having a similar issue, please talk to Energy Saving Windows for an efficient and cost effective solution.

Are you a builder that cares about your clients long term health

Will MOULD be growing in their bedrooms? Condensation and mould growth through single glazing is a HUGE Issue especially in High-rise developments. I was speaking with a highly respected Architect just days ago, he said that most high-rise apartments are using Awning windows with restrictors fitted so that children do not fall out, ( good call), issue is next to no ventilation coming through a restricted opening, (he was so happy I had a fix for that) also when doing the calculations for cross ventilation the BCA expects that 1/2 the opening is actually open. So conclusion, Lack of ventilation, plus single glazing plus lack of air tightness between the frames and the building fabric we have very unhealthy buildings going up. Are you a builder that cares about your clients long term health, then contact me about my mission to Double glaze all buildings at very affordable rates due to volumes available now.”

The 3 BIGGEST mistakes made while choosing Double-Glaze Windows

1. They Don’t Choose “Double Glazed as a minimum” & therefore miss out on the energy saving benefits:

  • Not Ensuring indoor comfort is a top priority for people when they are constructing a new home.
  • The kind of home windows installed has a significant effect on the home’s indoor comfort.
  • Double-glazed windows are the perfect modern alternative to traditional single-glazed windows because they provide a double layer of protection from solar heat radiation.
  • Single-glazed windows comprise a single pane of glass.
  • Double-glazed windows, on the other hand, are made up of two panes of glass separated by an air-pocket (vacuum) layer, which acts as thermal insulation.
  • In some cases, the vacuum is filled with either dehydrated air or argon (an inert gas) to help minimise heat transmission and prevent condensation problems.

2. They install windows that haven’t been tested:

  • Like anything else in life, you should “test” windows (& doors) before committing.
  • You need to determine that the windows & doors have child locks if you have children.
  • And do your windows have “trickle vents?”
  • And many homeowners fail to plan “the direction” of their window & door openings.
  • Might sound like “an obvious” thing to check, but you’d be surprised at how many people move into their home & find the windows open the wrong way!
  • A “good” window supplier/installer will of course show you the “opening procedure” of your windows & doors.

3. Not checking the “credentials” of the supplier:

  • Many people simply “assume” that the window supplier they choose is just as good as any other.
  • That’s NOT the case – like every industry, there’s good, bad & indifferent suppliers.
  • It’s vital to check the credentials of your window supplier – what’s their background & skills?
  • The windows & doors that Energy Saving windows provide are manufactured to strict quality guidelines.
  • In other words, the products are “the best of the best”.
  • Proof Energy Saving Windows have Confidence in the quality of their vast offerings on Manufacturing of Windows.
